When I found Meowoof I thought I had hit the jackpot. I needed a custom dog crate with specific dimensions and paint color. They were so helpful with coming up with drawings for me and keeping me updated through the entire process. The crate arrived wrapped in saran wrap and was delivered to my warehouse where we then delivered it to our client. Delivery went smoothly and I saw no issues with the crate as it was wrapped up. However, after delivering it to our client and unwrapping the piece it was clear the quality of wood used to make it was very low grade. The website says that "high quality wood" is used but the crate I received was made with plywood and 2x4s. There were rough edges that the paint seeped into, creating little holes on all the edges of the piece. One of the drawers wasn't made properly and one of the nails in the door cracked the wood. I expected it to be made with cabinet grade wood with smooth edges. From photos online, this was not what I expected to receive. When I contacted Meowoof about this I received a very rude email back from the people who made it, insisting that how we stored the piece in our warehouse caused "damages." But the problems with this piece have nothing to do with transportation/delivery and completely about how the piece was built and the materials used. Meowoof spoke to us on the phone to come up with a resolution, saying they would reach out to the builder to see if they would make repairs and add finishing trim/sand it. But after numerous attempts following up with them to resolve this, nobody ever got back to me. While I know too much time went by from when we received it to when we delivered it and discovered these issues, it does not negate the fact that Meowoof had a very poor quality crate built and ghosted us when we tried to come up with a solution for it. I would attached photos but I do not have the options to do so. Unless you like the unfinished, rustic look do not purchase from this company.
